Writing Coaching and Résumé Writing

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Beth since 2008, and she recently worked to make my résumé and other career documents shine. Her rock-solid intuition, pure talent, and keen eye for the ‘little details that make a big difference’ are unparalleled. Her genuine nature, warmth, and professionalism are evident in her work as well. I enthusiastically endorse Beth for any project, big or small.”
— Amy Cosgriff, M.A.Ed., Assistant Director of Education, Benedictine University at Springfield

Beth Kujawski

If you have a book or other writing project that’s stalled or has never gotten off the ground, Beth can help. She’s worked with several authors through the process of shaping and writing their books, Her most notable project was with her dearly departed friend Jeffrey Zaslow. She helped him form “The Last Lecture” into the book that has spent years on the New York Times best-seller list, has sold millions of copies, and has been translated into dozens of languages. Jeff inscribed her copy of the book thusly:

Beth, I am completely grateful to you for the advice, editing, cheerleading, and creative input you gave for this book. I remember being very unsure of where this was going, and I appreciated your clear-eyed skill at pointing me the right way. This book is better because of you.

As an advisor with decades of experience as an editor, Beth helps writers to clarify their projects and then express their stories and ideas in the most resonant ways.

For those who need help revising their résumés, Beth collaborates with clients to create career histories that tell stories more than merely list accomplishments. Her interview technique and knack for turning a phrase helps her clients’ résumés stand out from the conventional versions that run the risk of becoming part of the blur that HR managers see every day.

Her varied background – from interviewing Kurt Vonnegut for a college assignment, then five years of editorial experience at the Chicago Tribune, and now working with a wide array of organizations across the country – enables her to approach each client’s project from the angle that best represents their unique skills and talents.
